Mapped: the best free art Toronto has to offer.

On December 2, 2014 by finlay.matheson

Art plays a vital role in creating the vibrant communities that make up Toronto. The city is brimming with public art of all mediums and by a diverse range of artists…..and the best thing about this art is that a huge chunk of it; from street art to galleries, is completely free and accessible to all.

As a newcomer to Toronto, I was overwhelmed at the vastness of the city and its abundance of secret alleys and low-key galleries. Some of the most exciting discoveries in cities can be created by getting lost on a flaneur-esque expedition, but if we really want to make the most of a city, it is well worth sharing these spots with others.

This interactive map aims to chart as much of the free art as possible that Toronto has to offer, meaning both weathered Torontonians and tourists alike can enjoy the diversity and creativity of this city.
